By order of the startup Cross Touch (US), the device was developed to determine the purity of the hands of doctors. The device is attached to the bed or over the bed of the patient. When the doctor comes closer than 4 meters, the motion sensor located at the bottom of the device turns on the red LED. This indicates that the doctor must put his hand to the copper plate (the red part of the device), if the hands are clean, the light changes color to green, otherwise the doctor needs to wash his hands.
The project is expected to be installed in all hospitals in Zambia, as well as in other African countries where there is a problem of cross-contamination
